Hi All, I heard on the news that no animals were found among all the carnage that the Tsunamis left behind. Apparently, the animals sensed the tsunami an moved to higher ground. I think they felt the vibrations under ground, like, under the ocean. Also, I'm almost sure the air would have felt differently. Maybe even tasted differently. Maybe the water was shifting oddly, and had a strange feel, temperature, or taste. Maybe something looked different to them. What do you all think?

well, they're very sensitive, so I'm guessing they felt the vibrations or just sensed it in the air...what other views/

That's really cool. Just proves that animals atre alot smarter and more sensitive than people in many ways.

Yeah thats great that no animals were killed in the devistation. Yes animals are sensitive to weather so if a tornado or a violent storm is coming, the animals try to run from whatever is in their path for danger.

yeah, caitlin, i also heard this on the news. They not only survived, but helped some out of danger. I heard of two instances were a animal helped some people out of danger. I guess some tourists were on a elephant ride and the elphant took off with them still on it, and ran to higher ground. i think i told that correct. anyway, another instance was, a women and her kids were trying to get to higher ground. I guess a little boy had his dog with him, the dog wouldn't let the little boy be left behind, so he was trying to nip him so he would hurry and get to higher ground and when he wouldn't go any further he grabbed on to him and started dragging. He wasn't a big dog either. Animals are so awesome! smile, angel

i also heard something re the elephants, according to the sidney morning herrald, apparantly, the keeper of the elephant got the children onto the elephant's back and the elephant walked to safer ground.

I also heard about this on the news. Animals are amazing. I'm not sure what they sensed to know it was coming but they sensed something. If I ever see all the animals running in one direction I'm going with them.
